Vamos lá então dissertar um pouco...
Dire Straits não são nem mais nem menos do que uma banda criada para exaltar o movimento Gay nos EUA durante os 80.Ou seja, fazam pelo rock o que os Village People faziam pelo Disco ou o que os Frankie Goes to Hollywood pela New Wave.

Não me percebam mal, não tenho nada contra o movimento Gay, parafraseando Jerry Seinfeld “Not there´s nothing wrong with it...”, apenas quero elucidar-vos acerca da verdade por detrás dos Dire Straits

E porque é que eu afirmo isso perguntam vocês...Vamos analizar as “lyrics” de várias músicas destes senhores:

Mas será que é isso mesmo que a música quer dizer...

É impressão minha ou alguns membros da banda usam brincos e aquando aparição na TV não seriam maquilhados, nem que seja ao de leve?

É impressão minha ou nenhum membro da banda usa peruca? Até se olharem bem Mark Knopfler claramente não têm vergonha da sua careca, se tivesse não usaria uma fica mas sim um gorro.

É impressão minha ou a banda não deverá ter ganho dinheiro suficiente para serem considerados milionários (pelo menos na década de 80) e como se sabe milinário que se preze tem o seu jacto particular...
Ou seja, esta parta da música obviamente trata-se de uma metáfora para a condição da banda, disfarçado de discurso homofóbico!

Mais uma vez a metáfora à condição da banda, apenas que desta vez não disfarçado de discurso homofóbico mas um discurso à exaltação do lifestyle Gay dos anos 80.

Acho que depois disto não deixa margem para dúvidas em relação à verdade sobre estes senhores.
